Jungle Disk C++ Developer (Mac)

As a Jungle Disk C++ Developer, you will write complex and interesting code that interfaces with the world's largest Cloud Computing platforms, yet offers intuitive and powerful features to its users. You'll work in a small team environment with some of the smartest developers in the country – where creativity and hard work collide to produce cutting-edge applications. We need you because your talent, hard work, and dedication allow us to produce technical designs, develop software, implement test plans, and document products that are going to take us to the next level.

Your responsibilities to the customers include:

  • Thinking, creating, pushing farther, developing new features
  • Taking those features and making them bigger, better, faster, and more reliable
  • Delighting our customers when they use the product or contact us for support

Your responsibilities to your co-workers include:

  • Delivering high-quality code on-time
  • Offering your expertise and assistance, enabling others to do their own jobs better
  • Enhancing tools and processes to ensure that the software shop acts like a well-oiled machine

Important skills and characteristics:

  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • Strong experience with multi-threaded applications and memory management
  • Object-oriented design experience
  • Knowledge of secure programming concepts (e.g., cryptography and threat modeling)
  • GUI development experience, particularly using cross-platform tools like wxWidgets or Qt
  • SQL database experience
  • Networking and socket programming
  • HTTP/REST development experience
  • Experience in open source development
  • Experience with source code control systems, including subversion
  • Scripting experience in Python, PHP, PowerShell, Ruby, or Perl

Additional skills and characteristics:

  • Core Foundation and POSIX programming expertise
  • Objective-C and Cocoa development experience

Where is your office located in Atlanta?

We are located just off I85 in Suwanee, near the Gwinnett Center and a short commute from both downtown and Perimeter.

What are your offices like?

We want Jungle Disk to be somewhere employees enjoy coming to work each day. Our offices have hardwood floors, high ceilings, and lots of natural light. Developers all have large desks, multiple monitors, and comfortable chairs.

Will you consider remote workers / telecommuting?

Telecommuting may be considered in limited circumstances. But given the dynamic and complex nature of the work we do, we prefer local employees.
