Password security in the era of cloud collaboration creates frustrating issues for businesses and their clients. On behalf of the whole Jungle Disk team, I’m thrilled to announce the addition of TeamPassword to our data security suite. Now, with our suite you can protect your critical business data, address active network threats, and prevent latent password hacking attacks while making it easy to work with customers across the cloud. See how easily TeamPassword can solve your password management challenges with a 14-day free trial (no credit card required).

Brian Sierakowski, founder and CEO of TeamPassword, has joined our team to continue the development and future innovation of the TeamPassword business. As with the SafetyNet acquisition, we’re increasing investment and plan to continue running TeamPassword while also making it easy for Jungle Disk customers to use. We’re already able to provide unified administrative access via Google Sign In for Jungle Disk and TeamPassword.

As mentioned in our press release, a recent Verizon Data Breach Investigations report finds that 81 percent of hacking-related breaches take place because of stolen or weak passwords. As businesses move to using more cloud services the number of accounts and passwords each person needs to maintain is skyrocketing. This drives complexity and impacts productivity without a password management services to keep it simple. The alternative of using a single password creates wide ranging security risks, which are unacceptable to take with the number of cybercriminals looking to prey on businesses. Given the high percentage of data breaches caused by stolen or weak passwords, password management is critical to a business’s data security plan and eliminating potential cybersecurity risks.

Last year in a segment featured on PBS, we talked about the risks small businesses face when going online.
